A MONTHLY RECAP: january + february ’17 / march ’17

recap

january + february ’17

busy two months it has been (as you can see from the lack of my productivity on here). i had a lot of homework and exams before going on a two-weeks holiday, then traveled, and didn’t get the time to relax from everything when school started again. so i couldn’t balance between reading and blogging (let’s not forget about my other hobbies, which includes drawing and writing), that’s why i chose reading (i read some pretty good books, so it was worth it).

read these months

all these books were just freaking amazing (except ROMEO AND JULIET and OPTIMISTS DIE FIRST, i mean…what?). as you can see, i’ve officially sold my soul and whole being to rick riordan’s book. he could write a whole book with only the word “percy” written in it and i would read it.

THE RAVEN KING destroyed me (yeah, it was amazing). *pretends to be happy while crying inside from all the feels*

ALSO, can we talk about the cuteness that is QUEENS OF GEEK? this book comes out in march 14th, 2017, and you just have to read it. it’s so fluffy and amazing, + it features diverse characters and it’s #ownvoices* and i loved it (a review is coming your way soon).

*#ownvoices means books written by diverse authors including their diverse factor(s).

favorites

eh, probably same as last month

which means LEO VALDEZ (and everything riordan creates) and FRIENDS, but let’s add THE RAVEN KING and QUEENS OF GEEK. those books are just…*sigh*. my faves.

march ’17

i don’t know if i’ll be able to blog often this month (i’M SORRY OKAY), but i’ll try. i’m also trying to read most of my ARCs, so i can upgrade my feedback ratio (it’s really low, believe me), and i have a lot of things to do (as usual) in the next two weeks…so i really don’t know how it will go, we’ll see.

goals of the month

  • don’t stress yourself
  • don’t stress yourself
  • don’t stress yourself
  • don’t stress yourself.

how were the first two months of the year for you? read any good books? what are your plans for march?

  1. Wow, you’ve become properly obsessed with Rick Riordan! I need to carry on reading that series. Don’t worry about not being able to post, I’m exactly the same at the moment. It’s such a frustrating feeling!

  2. I’m happy you put “don’t stress yourself” as a goal for next month. I understand how difficult it is to manage school + blogging + life, but I’m sure you will do well! It’s okay if you can’t post that much; we’ll be here when you’re back, hahah.
I’m also happy you read so much Percy Jackson. These series are everything! ❤
I hope you have a fantastic month, Maha!
