i’ve had the chance to be chosen as a part of the STALKING JACK THE RIPPER blog tour, thanks to Ava @ Bookishness and Tea, so i’ve decided to list five reasons why i’m excited to read it. (because STALKING JACK THE RIPPER and LISTS.)
1. the concept
from the synopsis -which i put at the end of the post, SJTR is about MYSTERY and MURDER and INVESTIGATION. and i know that i fall hard for those things. so as soon as i read the synopsis, i knew that i’ll be reading this book as soon as i can (yes not as soon as it comes out because i’m in a book buying ban right now help me).
2. the reviews on goodreads
in other words, the hype. i’ve read a lot of reviews of SJTR on goodreads from people who had advanced copies, and most of them are 4 or 5 stars reviews.
3. the sweetness that is the author
i’ve had the chance to talk to the author (two or three times on twitter), and Kerri Maniscalco is the sweetest. and when i see a kind, sweet author, i immediately get excited to read her/his book(s).
4. it’s short
okay, this may not be a solid reason for you, but it is for me. as you may know, i’m kind of a slow reader, so i’m not really in love with long books (unless it’s a Leigh Bardugo or Morgan Matson book SIGN ME UP). so the fact that this book is 300 pages… it hella amazing.
5. and lastly, the cover
the cover -you can see it at the end of the post- is beautiful. i’m sold guys, i’m sold.
